From our first call and the initial engagement shoot, they made us feel completely at ease, even though I’m not always comfortable in front of the camera. They have a true gift for capturing natural, genuine moments, and their signature light and airy style made our photos absolutely beautiful.

They also showcased our venue, Eolia Estate at Harkness State Park, in all its elegance and charm. We received so many compliments from guests about how seamlessly they interacted with our family and friends—always kind, professional, fun, and never intrusive.

Having both Jacob and Kristin as a photography team was a huge advantage. They were able to capture moments from two different angles at once, giving us a more complete and dynamic view of our day, from the first look to candid moments during the reception.

They were also incredibly helpful in managing our wedding timeline. They improvised when needed and helped us capture 90% of our formal photos before the ceremony, giving us time to actually enjoy our cocktail hour. They even worked with our DJ to move the anniversary dance earlier in the evening to make sure it was captured in the best light, and timed our golden hour photos perfectly.

We received a preview gallery of 20 photos less than a week after the wedding, and our full gallery, hundreds of photos, within 60 days. Every image is something we’ll treasure for a lifetime. We’re so grateful they were part of our day. Highly, highly recommend!

We really enjoyed working with Jake (& his wife Kristin) as a team and made the whole experience of setting up the photoshoot, doing the actual photoshoot, and receiving the pictures…, easy, convenient, affordable, and perfect. We appreciated how upfront they were about pricing (other places we looked at were not as transparent). They sent us samples to see their work. They cared. They asked what we were looking for and Jake captured our interest in the pictures, mixed with his artistic and experienced view.
He conveniently met us right on time, worked hard for us in the time we had before sunset, and was so nice and funny too, easy to get along with. Then they sent us a few sample pictures and then all of them a month later. Amazing results. We love the pictures!! And they are wonderful people to work with. Highly recommend.

Jake did our engagement photos and kept everything relaxed and fun. On the day of they were so helpful in ensuring we got all of the top shots and were so helpful. We began to run behind on our timeline, and they easily got us back on track and stayed cool, calm, and collected! Not to mention, their work is just absolutely gorgeous. They work closely with a videographer, so you don’t have to worry about posing for anything twice. The preview gallery they gave us was the perfect mix of shots throughout the day, and every single one was perfect. I would have been content with only those shots. When the final gallery and videos were delivered, I was so impressed, it blew the preview gallery out of the park. They truly captured all of the emotion and essence of the entire day and I’m so happy to be able to have long-lasting photos to look back on (and a super fun highlight video)! They are super easy going and make you feel comfortable during the process, but also guide you when you need it so nothing feels forced or too posed. They kept things light and fun the whole time. We even had the fire alarm go off at our venue and Jacob honestly made the situation so much better by changing our photo timeline and making sure to do any couple shots then instead of taking time away later in the night, which made such a difference so we could focus on enjoying ourselves. He was very communicative from the beginning, with a great initial call, lots of text follow ups, and a really detailed form to make sure he got everything right on our big day. On our actual wedding day, he was awesome. He was so fun to work with, making us laugh and making sure we were enjoying ourselves. It was also so clear that he is a seasoned professional. He had everything down to a science, getting so many photos out of us without making us feel overwhelmed. He even helped us coordinate a miscommunication with our venue and fixed the problem for us before we even knew it was happening! We purchased the three hour package and were totally blown away with how much he was able to get out of every minute. We haven’t received all of our photos yet, but our sneak peeks were breathtaking and I can’t wait to see the rest. Jake and Kristin are an incredible couple and talented photographers. Throughout wedding planning Kristin and Jake were so responsive and wanted to make sure we felt confident going into our wedding day.

We did an engagement shoot with Jake before our wedding. That experience alone made it clear that we made the right choice choosing Cadence of Grace. Jake made us feel so comfortable and confident. He had us laughing the entire time.

Fast forward to the wedding. Jake met with me a few weeks before the wedding for almost an hour to discuss a timeline for the wedding day. Their photography is obviously stunning but working with them was an absolutely dream. From our initial phone call with them, we knew we were in good hands. They were so helpful with crafting our timeline for the day and went above and beyond to make sure we got all of our important shots covered including the detail shots of the dress, stationary, hair and makeup, dancing, and everything in between.

From your first phone call over a year in advance to the final goodbye at the wedding, Jake was everything we didn’t know we needed in a photographer. From the time we signed a contract, it honestly felt like we were the top priority. In the group chat with my new hubby, Jake, Kristin, and myself, we sent inspo photos, talked about angles, lighting, good sides, bad sides, details, etc. and figured out exactly how we wanted the day to go in terms of photos. We asked for angles, he hit them. We asked for certain lighting, he found it. We needed an obscure aunt, he sent someone to find her. We needed umbrellas, he delegated and got us umbrella boys. From soup to nuts, our experience with CoG was indescribably wonderful. To say that we are thrilled with our photos from Cadence of Grace is an understatement. We expected nice photos we would look back on fondly, maybe a few we could hang on the wall to decorate our home. We did not expect to be blown away by how well Jake captured our family, catching our personalities and family dynamic in each frame. We have repeatedly gone through the photos, finding it difficult choosing which ones to print because they are ALL our favorites. And there are so many! The attention to detail, the artistic eye, the capturing of the tempo of our family, all incredibly difficult aspects to do individually, Jake was able to do it all in each photo. Responsiveness, adjustability, deep listening to really understand what we were looking for, and the turnaround time for final proofs was much quicker than anticipated. Not only have they captured our special day in the most PERFECT and stunning way, but they were so FUN and easy to work with on such a busy day. They kept pictures flowing, ensuring to capture all the important shots we asked for, while also taking the time to document candid moments, like our flower girl frolicking around in a field, guests crying during our vows, parents sharing special glances, and everyone breaking it down on the dance floor (and much more). Right from the beginning, they made us feel comfortable. The engagement shoot, which was included in our package, was such a thoughtful touch. It gave us a chance to get comfortable with posing, being behind the camera, and allowed us to build a relationship with them ahead of the big day.

Their attention to detail was outstanding. I had a lot of items prepared for flat lay shots, and the way they styled and captured everything was beyond what I imagined.

They worked seamlessly alongside our videographer, who was booked separately, keeping everything running smoothly and stress-free. During the ceremony, they blended in naturally, and I honestly don’t even remember seeing them in action, however they captured such emotional and beautiful shots without ever feeling intrusive.

Having two photographers for our wedding was a bonus. We got shots from multiple angles, which made our gallery feel complete. The editing style was everything we wanted: light, airy, and timeless.

One of the most meaningful moments was something I’ll never forget. A few months before the wedding, my Nana, with whom I was incredibly close, passed away. After she died, twelve birds (mostly bluejays and cardinals) appeared outside her window. Bluejays, in particular, became a deeply symbolic sign of her presence. I even had a bear made from one of her bluejay shirts. I shared this story with the Cadence of Grace team in our pre-wedding notes, and to my surprise and awe, they captured bluebirds flying during our wedding. That photo means more to me than I can express, and I’m so touched that they recognized and honored that moment.
